Frost by Wendy Delsol was a slow read at first. The author describes the main character Katla and the Stork members more than need be, and I would have liked to read more about the relationship between the characters Jack and Katla. Jack and Katla have powers that could have used a little more description, too. I felt the description of the surroundings was lacking, and the story jumps from scene to scene. In my reader’s opinion, another chapter just on Jack and Brigid in Greenland could have made the story better. I think it is a book for readers looking for a good story but not too deep. If you really like a book with a lot of well-developed characters, good descriptions and a story that flows to keep you reading, this might not keep you as interested. I’d recommend it as a lighter read.
