What is a Teen Advisory Group? How high is the moon? Do fish breathe water? All this and more (or less) can be answered by considering becoming a TAG member. You must be in 6th-12th grade, willing to commit to at least 2 hours of service per month at the library (more in times of special events you may have a hand in) and be somewhat of a mover and shaker – in your own way, of course. This group is meant to be functional, promotional, creative, directional and sustainable. 2010 will be the initial ‘Year of the TAG’ and hopefully, those teens who see a purpose and an opportunity to be heard will come forward. At this time the structure is still formative and you are always invited just to come and listen and think about becoming a member. There is an application form to be completed which can be downloaded and accessed via our library website – www.sandwichpubliclibrary.com. Meetings occur once a month at this time. Our ‘launch’ event will be a Mystery Night at the Library in March.
